Breaking The Surface

This painting represents the artist attitude toward painting.  As with the dolphin, who lives in the sea but must jump out of its environment to breath and live, so is the artist's need to paint.  He breaks the surface to escape the everyday, mundane world and by painting, he expresses his inner self and his soul breathes, allowing him to continue in his world.
