Winter Shadows, Blue Moon

The 'Winter Shadows' painting displays a common theme in Sicignano's work where a prominent subject of the painting is merely an effect (the shadow) of an object that is not in the painting, rather than the object itself.   The cold crisp air, barren trees and the low angle of the winter sun combine to create notable shadows along Palisade Avenue.
